With winter here, you’ll want to beat the bad weather blues by indulging in some well-chosen desserts. With the festive season upon us, the greatest pâtisseries in Paris vie to create the most visually appealing, creative, irresistible and delicious bûches de Noël (Yule logs). Each is a world of flavours and are creations as sublime as they are tasty. The city’s top pastry chefs and confectioners offer unusual, original and surprising Christmas logs for your delectation. Big names such as Chaudun, Fauchon, Pierre Hermé, Patrick Roger, Marcolini, Ladurée, Dalloyau and many other Parisian institutions present their majestic, flamboyant and wildly tempting creations, and it’s up to you to choose! No easy task, for sure! Discover, for example, the Asian inspired bûche crafted by Gilles Marchal, the pastry chef of the Maison Chaudun, or the vegan creations of Huges Pouget, Master Pâtissier of the Maison Hugo & Victor, which are just as beautiful and delicious, but have no animal-derived ingredients!

In January we savour the galette

After the Christmas period comes the feast day of Epiphany, also known as Three Kings’ Day. That offered by Lenôtre in association with the perfumer Fragonard invites you to plunge into a childhood world, while the Fantastik Galette created by Christophe Michalak will have your mouth watering in anticipation. Taste the Marie-Antoinette galette des roi from La Meringaie, an original take on the classic with a nod to meringue. Finally, check out what is offered by Paradis Gourmand (5th), the Maison Marnay (4th) or L'Essentiel (13th) and savour the exquisite flavours of the galette, a cake whose origins date back to the dawn of time.
